This project was a category-based quiz game built around real-time one-to-one multiplayer matches, recurring tournaments, and AI-supported question generation for scalable content expansion.

The core challenge was making real-time quiz gameplay feel fair and responsive while also supporting a growing pool of category-based content. The system needed reliable question delivery, accurate timers, consistent scoring, and stable match flow across variable network and device conditions. Tournament entry, progression, rewards, and rank updates also had to work cleanly, while LLM-generated question content needed to be structured and usable within the gameplay system.

We built the core systems for real-time multiplayer quiz gameplay, focusing on match state consistency, latency-tolerant timing, deterministic scoring, scalable category logic, tournament flows, and LLM-assisted question generation.

  • Real-time 1:1 PvP match flows
  • Reliable match entry and start transitions
  • Deterministic scoring and ordered event handling
  • Latency-aware timer logic with sync points and grace windows
  • Tournament entry, bracket progression, and reward hooks
  • Category framework for adding new quiz content
  • LLM-assisted question generation for scalable quiz content creation
  • Ranking, XP, level, and record tracking
  • Leaderboard views for local and global rankings
  • Telemetry for funnel, drop-off, and difficulty analysis
  • Optimized React Native screens for fast gameplay transitions
  • Delivered fast, fair real-time PvP gameplay
  • Enabled stable tournament operations and progression
  • Reduced score and timing disputes
  • Made it easier to expand categories and content
  • Created a solid base for future balancing and retention work
