This project involved building a sports platform for live and scheduled matches, user participation, community features, and third-party integrations. The main technical focus was keeping the real-time experience stable during traffic spikes, feed bursts, and integration issues.

The platform had to keep live match data in sync across multiple user-facing surfaces while handling external feeds that could arrive in bursts or out of order. It also needed reliable support for payments, provider callbacks, balance-related actions, search, moderation tools, and responsive live pages.

We built an event-driven backend for live data processing, caching, search, and real-time delivery. Time-sensitive match updates were separated from slower transactional and content workflows so the live experience stayed responsive under load.

  • WebSocket-based real-time updates for scores, match events, prematch/inplay odds, commentary, and stats
  • RabbitMQ pipelines for feed ingestion and event processing
  • Redis caching for live match state and fast updates
  • Optimized schemas for balances, transactions, participation, promotions, and shop flows
  • Elasticsearch for fast search across matches, promotions, and community content
  • Idempotent provider integrations with retry handling and callback verification
  • Payment gateway integration with verification and reconciliation support
  • Community features including chat, minigames, clubs, posts, user reports, and abuse controls
  • Social login and account linking for multiple providers
  • Improved live-page performance with partial refresh and reduced API load
  • Structured logging, correlation IDs, dead-letter queues, and replay support
  • Reduced latency for live match updates
  • Improved stability during feed bursts and traffic spikes
  • Lowered risk in payment and provider workflows
  • Made matches and content easier to discover through faster search
  • Created a scalable base for future live and engagement features
